Die Walverwandtschaften
Die Walverwandtschaften – München Zürich Boston sind ein Kuratorenkollektiv bestehend aus Cordula Rau, Eberhard Tröger und Ole W. Fischer.
Cordula Rau ist Architektin, Autorin, Kuratorin und freie Journalistin in München. Sie publiziert in Architekturfachzeitschriften und Tageszeitungen. Weiterer Schwerpunkt ihrer selbstständigen Tätigkeit sind Presse-, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Marketing und Moderation im Bereich Architektur, Kunst und Design. Zuletzt erschien das von ihr herausgegebene Buch „Why Do Architects Wear Black?“ im Springer-Verlag Wien New York.
Eberhard Tröger ist Architekt, Autor, Kurator und Hochschullehrer in Zürich. Er studierte Architektur an der TU Berlin und im Nachdiplomstudium „Theorie und Geschichte der Architektur“ am Institut gta der ETH Zürich. Neben zahlreichen Publikationen in der Fachpresse, Kuratorien für Ausstellungen und Symposien, Lehraufträgen und Vortragstätigkeiten unterrichtet er seit 2006 an der ETH Zürich Architektur und Entwurf.
Ole W. Fischer ist Architekt, Theoretiker, Kurator und Hochschullehrer in Boston. Er studierte Architektur an der Bauhausuniversität Weimar und an der ETH Zürich. 2008 promovierte er zum Dr. sc. ETH. Er erhielt zahlreiche Stipendien und Forschungsaufträge. Seit 2009 ist er Research Fellow an der Harvard Graduate School of Design. Seit 2010 hat er einen Lehrauftrag an der Adjunct Faculty for History and Theory of Architecture am MIT, USA .
SALONS
The first soiree will take place in the main room of the German pavilion on the eve of the official opening. For this purpose the general commissioners of the German pavilion invite you to come to Venice to the Red Salon.
Several exterior salons, situated in Munich, Zurich and Berlin, transport the concept and issue of the Biennale-salon into different European cities. In this way the German contribution to the Biennale will be represented also out-of Venice on different evenings. The contentual examination of the issue “longing” will be facilitated in different context.
